The Powerzone Unplugged Festival marks a decade of the Powerzone website, with top SA artists and a special international guest band.

Powerzone will be celebrating its 10th birthday in style, hosting 20 unplugged shows at selected theatres around the country. The Parlotones take to the stage as headliners with special guests Starsailor (from the UK), Karen Zoid, Wonderboom, Perez, Louise Carver and Josie Field — as well as support acts (The Black Hotels and One Sock Thief) joining them on selected shows.

In a UK/SA artist exchange, The Parlotones are special guests on Starsailor's UK tour early in 2009.

Starsailor's first album sold more than a million copies in the UK and they had success so early in their career, that the band (who are only in their mid twenties) are often described by the British press as veterans. The fourth Starsailor album is due for release in 2009.
