Gang of Instrumentals hit Cape Town alongside jacSharp and New Academics at The Assembly on Friday 29 August.

The Gang of Instrumentals — with their innovative musical style of hip hop meets street rap, pop, soul, R&B, and rock and house — are one of the most successful independent groups in South Africa.

The GI received twp SAFTA Golden Horns for best soundtrack in a TV comedy 2006 and 2007, two Channel O nominations for Best Group and Best Video 2005, and a SAMA nomination for Record of the Year 2008. With hits including 'Cry 4 me' , 'My Number One', 'Shake It' and 'Oh Yeah', GI are a reflection of the new, global and progressive Africa.

They are joined at The Assembly by local Mother City favourites Afro/pop outfit jacSharp and Jozi's rocking New Academics.
