Underoath land in South Africa this September and will perform with several local bands around the country as part of their world tour, from 22 September to 28 September 2008.

The band will perform in three shows in Gauteng, one in Kwazulu Natal and one in Cape Town.

"We’re thrilled to have Underoath finally visit South Africa," said EMI's Kevin Mdubeki and Michal Kaczmarczyk.

"The demand for this tour has been phenomenal for some time and this is a huge step towards developing the band’s presence in our market," they added in a statement.

"We’re very excited to have Underoath promote their latest release directly to their growing South African fan base!"

Underoath released their 'Survive, Kaleidoscope' live collection in June 2008, with a brand new, as yet untitled, studio album will be released early September 2008, coinciding with the South African tour dates.

At the moment there are six pre-selected local bands in the SA Underoath tour: Crossingpoint (Durban), New Altum (Cape Town), New Found Disorder (JHB), Straatligkinders (Potch/PTA), Unlisted (JHB), and The Narrow.

The Narrow cite Underoath as one of their biggest influences and will be flying into South Africa to perform especially for three of the shows on this tour.

Tickets are now on sale at Computicket and bulk ticket sales are available through promoters Authentic Ideas directly for groups of ten and more.
