Hard rock legends AC/DC will put out their first album in eight years this year, the Australian group announced on Friday on their website.
"The waiting is almost over! AC/DC fans can expect the band's next album of new material sometime later this year," they said on www.acdc.com.
"The band are currently recording in Vancouver with producer Brendan O'Brien and long time audio engineer Mike Fraser," they said.
It will be AC/DC's first collection of new material since the release of 'Stiff Upper Lip' in 2000.
Formed in Australia in 1973, AC/DC has delivered over a long career rock anthems like 'Let There Be Rock', 'Whole Lotta Rosie' and 'Highway to Hell'.
They have sold more than 150 million albums worldwide, with the best-selling 1980 'Back in Black' album selling 22 million in the United States alone.
