Pop star Justin Timberlake's mother has reportedly talk her son out of proposing to "Charlie's Angel" star Cameron Diaz, because she's too old for him.

According to the Evening Standard quoting the Daily Mail, Lynn Harless refused to give Timberlake her blessing.

And apparently Cameron is not surprised.

"Cameron has worried from day one that Lynn didn't like her and didn't approve of their relationship," a source told the paper.

Timberlake's mother was incredibly close to his childhood sweetheart Britney Spears and was upset when they split in March.

Timberlake (23) is close to his mother. He has her initials LBH tattooed on his back, along with a cherub and the word 'Guardian'.
