Rapper Eminem is announcing his long awaited return to the music scene with a new album titled ‘King Mathers’.

The 35-year-old hip-hop star who has sold an astounding 80 million records since his debut will release the new record at the end of the year.

Eminem told The News Of The World: "I’m writing and producing again, banging out tracks — and the music gets better and better."

The ‘Cleaning Out My Closet’ rapper is said to be teaming up with rapper pal 50 Cent for the new album. The pair are spending long hours perfecting the record at Eminem’s Detroit home.

A source told The News Of The World: "It’s exciting times and, of course, there’s massive expectation surrounding this new record.

"But fans need not worry about its quality. Most of the music’s being mastered at the moment. There’s a real belief the album will go stellar.

"Eminem is out to realise his full potential. The volume and quality of music he’s producing is prodigious."

Things seem to be going well for the megastar who suffered an addiction to sleeping tablets in 2005 and incessant battles with his mom Debbie Nelson.

The rapper said: "For a while I didn’t want to go back to the studio. I went through some bad times but I’m coming out of those. It feels good."
