The Kings Of Leon say some of their 'family members' have turned into paparazzi.

The lads say that, following the success they've enjoyed over the past year, they've experienced a sudden surge in the number of distant family members they have.

Frontman Caleb Followill told the Daily Star: "It's at the point now where we’re starting to have lots more third and fourth cousins, that we've never met before, show up.

"This was the first year where we actually saw picture of ourselves on the internet that other people were taking.

"It felt like we were paparazzied by our own family. It felt like an invasion of privacy, but you know, we put a stop to that."

Brother and band drummer, Nathan, joked: "My dad was like, hiding in a tree with a camera, it was terrible."

The band's immediate family are, however, very supportive, especially concerning their headlining gig at the Glastonbury festival.

In an interview to Absolute Radio, Caleb said: "Headlining Glastonbury was pretty huge.

"All of our family was back home, all gathered around the internet, watching and listening and having a party and so it was really special."
