Rock legends Led Zeppelin are in the studio, recording for the first time in over 25 years.

Surviving members, guitarist Jimmy Page, bassist John Paul Jones, and Jason Bonham — son of original drummer, John Bonham — have all been working on new material in London studios.

Original frontman, Robert Plant, is however on tour with country singer Alison Kraus, and has been more covert about his participation in the band’s reunion.

With Page being the most enthusiastic about a reunion album, Bonham also seems to be committing, as he will be terminating his performances with New York rock band Foreigner as of 1 September.

Bonham said: "I've been working with Jimmy and John Paul and trying to do some new material and some writing. I don't know what it will be but it will be something special.

"The possibility of doing something new is on the cards. I really felt it was on the cards from the moment we walked off stage at the O2.

"At the moment, all I know is I have the great pleasure to go and jam with the two guys and start work on some material.

"Whatever it ends up as, to get a chance to jam with two people like that is a phenomenal thing for me. When I get there I never ask any questions."
