Andrea Bocelli scores 5/5

Andrea Bocelli has seduced millions of willing music lovers all over the world with his phenomenal voice and his latest, highly anticipated follow-up to the record-breaking 'Amore' has been greeted with rave reviews from every corner of the globe.

'Under the Desert Sky' was his first live pop-style concert and the DVD is entertainment at its very best.

Performed on a specially constructed floating stage in Lake Las Vegas, the setting is as spectacular as Bocelli’s voice and the wide range of instruments, from Latin percussion, accordions and harmonicas through to the passionate strumming of Spanish guitars accompanying him.

There are 18 performances on the DVD and it really is extremely difficult to choose a favourite. If I really had to select one it would probably be 'Somos Novios', which most of us will recognise as the Perry Como hit, 'It’s Impossible'.

Other great numbers are 'The Prayer' (the Oscar nominated song from 'Quest for Camelot' which Bocelli performs as a duet with Heather Headley), 'September Morn', 'Can’t Help Falling in Love', 'Besame Mucho' and 'Momentos'.

In addition to performances by Bocelli & Co, the DVD also includes interviews with David Foster and others on the making of 'Amore'. In all, 'Under The Desert Sky' runs for 115 minutes and quality and entertainment level is so good that it's the one DVD on my shelf that I can watch over and over again.

I've watched it three times already and each time I discover new pleasures.

This one is a non-negotiable must-have for all Bocelli fans and lovers of good music.
