What's it about?
Based on fact and fiction, 'I’m Not There' is an unconventional journey into the life and times of Bob Dylan.
Six actors (including Heath Ledger, Cate Blanchett and young black kid Marcus Carl Franklin) portray Dylan as a series of shifting personae — from the public to the private to the fantastical — weaving together a rich and colourful portrait of this ever-elusive American icon.
Directed by Todd Haynes, this biopic with a difference also stars Christian Bale, Richard Gere and Ben Whishaw as man billed as the greatest artist/agitator/poet/fighter/genius/radical of our time.
As Dylan himself once said: "All I can do is be me, whoever that is".
