What's it about?

Stanley Philipps (John Cusack) always wanted to be a war hero.

Unfortunately, his poor eyesight cut his military career short, so instead he stays home raising his two daughters (Shélan O'Keefe, Gracie Bednarczyk) while his wife fights in Iraq.

One day, Stanley gets the worst news of his life, when military personnel tell him the love of his life has been killed in battle.

Too rattled to tell his kids the truth, Stanley takes them on a cross-country road trip to an amusement park in hopes of bonding with them more before he drops the terrible news.
