'7-10 Split' stars Tara Reid. It was directed by her brother. That pretty much says it all really. Oh no, wait, Vinnie Jones also has a brief cameo. Now, that says it all.

Like football, basketball and baseball, bowling has its own movie genre and when reviewing a bowling film, it is only fair to compare it to others. So, take what is arguably one of the best bowling movies around — 'Kingpin' — strip it of its plot, humour and decent acting and you have something that vaguely resembles '7-10 Split'.

Yes. A vacuous shell of a movie, which offers nothing but bad costumes, even worse acting and lots of time to wish you were doing something else. Anything else. Cleaning the floor with a toothbrush; watching a movie starring Paris Hilton; or dying a slow and painful death.

Just in case you're not yet convinced, here's a detailed plot outline. Two out-of-work actors (no guessing why) and good-enough-to-be-pro bowlers Ross Vegas (Ross Patterson, who also happens to be the writer of this masterpiece) and Mike (Clayne Crawford) and Vegas' do-good girlfriend (Reid) decide to make some cash by competing in the PBA tour.

Vegas is brilliant, he's edgy, and he gives the sport of bowling a new look. Needless to say, with fame comes ego, broken loyalties and the end of this dynamic trio. But — and here's a shocker — it all works out in the end.

Now seriously, if you still have even a paltry interest in sitting through any of this, your surname is probably Reid. If not, it should be.
