South African gold miner DRDGOLD has announced the appointment of Craig Barnes as the company's Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer. He was previously Chief Financial Officer of 74 percent-owned DRDGOLD South African Operations.

The appointment was effective Monday, 5 May the company said.

The company also announced that Kobus Dissel has resigned as an Alternate Director and will continue to serve the company as Financial Manager: Corporate Services.
